Me by the Numbers

Hello! I'm Ian Tackett and welcome to my blog!

I was born in Michigan on the year of 1997.
I have lived here my whole life, and
have traveled all over the state; from Detroit all the way to Marquette in the upper peninsula.

The most important people to me are my family. I'm the youngest of my family, followed by my two brothers and my mom and dad. My family members have had the greatest influence in my life, and have taught me so much!

I love the nature found all throughout Michigan. I love traveling through the woods that dot the areas where I live but what I love most of all is being able to bike through the various trails!

When I was six years old, I learned how to ride a bike for the first time. it was a pretty big moment for me because it was the first thing I really learned to do myself.

I quickly fell in love with biking from that moment on. I love the sense of freedom biking gives me, and is one of the best ways for me to relax and clear my head.

A big year for me in school was in 2011, when I began high school. I attended Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan; one of the best schools someone can attend to receive an excellent education.

It was here where I joined the school's robotics team: The Pihi Samurai's. The team, also known as team 1076, was an important part of my life. It was on team 1076 where I was able to apply my passion for fixing things and assembling things and trying to dissect how each piece operates and how they're integral to the entirety of a system system.

Team 1076 taught me a lot about teamwork and the engineering field. It supplied me with the ability to work effectively with a team and how to work with the ridiculously tight schedules in the technical field with a significantly small budget for the project at hand.

Although I loved high school, I was still glad to leave it behind. I graduated from Pioneer High School on the year of 2015.

It was honestly a great time for me; thinking back on all the work I had done, the relationships I'd formed, the hardships I'd passed and more, it was definitely the year where I did the most reflection on my life and really learned more about myself as a person.

That's all for my story so far, the rest has yet to be "written."
Thanks for reading the blog about Me!
